Google Pay is the Android counterpart to Apple Pay and a growing payment option at UK online casinos. It lets you deposit with a debit card stored in Google Wallet, without typing in your card details, and the money appears in your casino balance instantly. For Android users in particular, it is one of the quickest and safest ways to fund a casino account. In this guide we explain how Google Pay works at casinos, how withdrawals are handled, what to know about bonuses and which casinos we recommend.

How Google Pay Works at Online Casinos
Google Pay, part of Google Wallet, stores your payment cards on your Android phone, smartwatch or Google account. When you pay, the casino receives a virtual account number or token instead of your real card number. The payment is confirmed with your fingerprint, face unlock or screen lock.
For casino payments in the UK, only debit cards can be used. Credit card gambling has been banned since April 2020, and that rule also applies to credit cards stored in Google Pay.
How to Deposit with Google Pay
- Log in to your casino account on your Android device or in Chrome on a computer.
- Open the cashier and choose Google Pay.
- Enter the amount you want to deposit.
- Confirm the payment with your fingerprint, face unlock or screen lock.
- The money is added to your balance instantly.
On an iPhone, Google Pay is less common. iPhone users can use Apple Pay instead, which works in the same way.
Can You Withdraw with Google Pay?
At most UK casinos, Google Pay is used for deposits only. Withdrawals are usually paid to the debit card linked to your Google Wallet. If the casino uses Visa Direct, winnings on a Visa debit card can arrive within hours after the casino approves the request. Mastercard payouts can take a little longer, and traditional processing can take one to three working days. Looking for the quickest payouts? See our guide to fast withdrawal casinos.
Limits, Fees and Speed
| Item | Typical range at UK casinos |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | £5 to £20 |
| Deposit time | Instant |
| Withdrawal method | Usually to the linked debit card |
| Withdrawal time | Minutes to 3 working days |
| Fees | Usually none |
Google does not charge you for using Google Pay, and most casinos do not charge fees for deposits. Limits depend on the casino and on the deposit limits you set in your account.
Google Pay and Casino Bonuses
Because Google Pay deposits come from a debit card, they usually qualify for welcome bonuses. E-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller are excluded more often than Google Pay. Still, always check the bonus terms to make sure your payment method is eligible. Since January 2026, wagering requirements on UK bonuses are capped at 10x. Compare offers on our welcome bonus page.
Is Google Pay Safe for Casino Payments?
Google Pay is a very secure way to pay. Your real card number is not shared with the casino, payments must be confirmed on your device, and you can remotely lock or wipe your phone if it is lost. Combined with a UK-licensed casino, which must protect your data and funds, Google Pay is a safe choice. Read more about choosing a trustworthy site in our guide to gambling with real money.
Google Pay vs Apple Pay
| Feature | Google Pay | Apple Pay |
|---|---|---|
| Devices | Android, Chrome, Wear OS | iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac |
| How it works | Debit card in Google Wallet | Debit card in Apple Wallet |
| Confirms with | Fingerprint, face unlock or screen lock | Face ID, Touch ID or passcode |
| Withdrawals | Usually to linked debit card | Usually to linked debit card |
| Availability at UK casinos | Growing | Widespread |
Both methods work in the same way. The choice simply depends on your device. Apple Pay is currently accepted at more UK casinos, but Google Pay is catching up.
Google Pay vs Other Payment Methods
If Google Pay is not available, the same debit card can be used directly in the cashier. PayPal is another option that keeps your card details private and often pays out within 24 hours. For direct bank payments, see Trustly and Pay by Bank casinos. Compare all options on our casino payment methods page.
Tips for Using Google Pay at Casinos
- Use a debit card: credit cards cannot be used for gambling in the UK.
- Verify your account early: withdrawals are only processed after identity checks.
- Check the withdrawal route: winnings usually go to the card linked to Google Pay.
- Set deposit limits: one-tap deposits make it easy to spend more than planned.
Google Pay Not Showing in the Cashier?
If you cannot find Google Pay, check that you are using an Android device or the Chrome browser, that a debit card is saved in Google Wallet and that the casino actually supports Google Pay. Some casinos only offer it in their mobile app or mobile site. If it is not available, deposit with your debit card directly instead.
Using Google Pay on Desktop
Google Pay is not limited to Android phones. If you play on a laptop or desktop computer using the Chrome browser, Google Pay can also appear in the casino cashier, as long as a debit card is saved in your Google account. The payment is then confirmed in the browser or on your phone. This makes Google Pay a flexible option for players who switch between devices. Keep in mind that the casino still needs to support Google Pay on its desktop site, which is not always the case. If you mainly play on a computer, your debit card or Pay by Bank may be the more reliable choice.
