Apple Pay has become one of the most popular ways to pay at UK online casinos, especially for players on iPhone. You deposit with a tap and Face ID or Touch ID, without typing in your card details, and the money appears in your balance instantly. Because Apple Pay uses the debit card stored in your Apple Wallet, it is fully compatible with UK gambling rules. In this guide we explain how Apple Pay works at casinos, how withdrawals are handled, what to know about bonuses and which casinos we recommend.

How Apple Pay Works at Online Casinos
Apple Pay is a digital wallet built into iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. You add your debit card to the Wallet app once, and from then on you can pay without entering your card number. When you make a payment, Apple Pay sends the casino a one-time encrypted code instead of your real card details. The payment is approved with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode.
For casino payments, only debit cards work. Credit card gambling has been banned in the UK since April 2020, and this also applies when a credit card is stored in Apple Pay.
How to Deposit with Apple Pay
- Log in to your casino account on your iPhone, iPad or Mac using Safari or the casino app.
- Open the cashier and select Apple Pay.
- Enter the amount you want to deposit.
- Confirm the payment with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
- The money is added to your balance instantly.
On a Windows computer or Android phone, Apple Pay is not available. In that case, you can use your debit card directly or Google Pay.
Can You Withdraw with Apple Pay?
At most UK casinos, Apple Pay is mainly a deposit method. When you withdraw, your winnings are usually paid to the debit card linked to your Apple Wallet. Many casinos use Visa Direct for this, which means winnings on a Visa debit card can arrive within hours once the casino has approved the withdrawal. Mastercard payouts can take a little longer. A growing number of casinos show Apple Pay as a withdrawal option in the cashier, but in practice the money still goes to the underlying debit card.
Limits, Fees and Speed
| Item | Typical range at UK casinos |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | £5 to £20 |
| Deposit time | Instant |
| Withdrawal method | Usually to the linked debit card |
| Withdrawal time | Minutes to 3 working days, depending on card and casino |
| Fees | Usually none |
Apple does not charge you for using Apple Pay, and most casinos do not charge fees either. Limits are set by the casino and by your own deposit limits.
Apple Pay and Casino Bonuses
Apple Pay deposits are usually accepted for welcome bonuses, because the payment comes from a debit card. Some casinos explicitly list Apple Pay as an eligible method, while e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller are more often excluded. Always check the bonus terms before you deposit. Since January 2026, wagering requirements on UK bonuses are capped at 10x. Compare offers on our welcome bonus page.
Is Apple Pay Safe for Casino Payments?
Apple Pay is one of the safest ways to pay online. Your card number is never shared with the casino, each payment uses a unique code and you must approve every payment with biometrics or your passcode. If your phone is lost or stolen, payments cannot be made without your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode, and you can remove your cards remotely with Find My. Combine this with a UK-licensed casino, and you have a very secure way to deposit. Read more about choosing a safe site in our guide to gambling with real money.
Apple Pay vs Other Payment Methods
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | Shares card details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Pay | Instant | To linked debit card | No |
| Debit card | Instant | Minutes to 3 days | Yes |
| PayPal | Instant | Usually within 24 hours | No |
| Pay by Bank/Trustly | Instant | Often same day | No |
Apple Pay is ideal if you mainly play on iPhone and want quick, secure deposits. If you want a separate wallet for your casino money, PayPal is an alternative. For direct bank payments, see our guide to Trustly and Pay by Bank casinos. Compare all options on our casino payment methods page.
Apple Pay and Mobile Casino Play
Apple Pay fits perfectly with mobile gaming. Most UK casinos are fully optimised for iPhone, and depositing with Apple Pay takes just a few seconds. That convenience also means it is easy to deposit more than planned, so set deposit limits in your casino account and stick to them.
Tips for Using Apple Pay at Casinos
- Add a debit card: credit cards cannot be used for gambling in the UK.
- Verify your account early: withdrawals are only paid after identity checks.
- Check the withdrawal route: winnings usually go to the card linked to Apple Pay.
- Use Visa for fast payouts: Visa Direct is often faster than Mastercard.
- Set deposit limits: fast deposits make it easy to lose track of spending.
Apple Pay Not Showing in the Cashier?
If you do not see Apple Pay in the casino cashier, there are a few common reasons. Apple Pay only appears in Safari or in a casino app on Apple devices, so it will not show in Chrome on Windows or on an Android phone. Your Wallet also needs at least one debit card, and the card must support Apple Pay. Some casinos only offer Apple Pay on mobile and not on desktop. Finally, not every UK casino accepts Apple Pay yet. If it is missing, you can still deposit with the same debit card directly, or choose another fast method such as Pay by Bank.
