Theme and Design
Wolf Gold is set in a dusty North American desert at sunset, with red rock formations in the background. The high-value symbols are the wolf, the bison, the eagle, the puma and the horse, while the card ranks from 9 to A provide the lower-value wins. The design is clean and colourful, and the howl of the wolf adds atmosphere when the bigger wins land.
How to Play Wolf Gold
Wolf Gold has 25 fixed paylines. Wins pay from left to right when three or more matching symbols land on a payline. You only choose your stake per spin. The Wild symbol substitutes for all regular symbols and can appear stacked, which can complete several winning lines at once.
The Money Respin and Jackpots
The Money Respin is the most popular feature in Wolf Gold. It is linked to the full moon symbol, which shows a cash value when it lands. When six or more moons land in the base game, the Money Respin starts:
- All moons on the reels stay in place, and every other position becomes empty.
- You get three respins, during which only new moons can land.
- Every new moon sticks and resets the number of respins to three.
- The feature ends when you run out of respins or when all 15 positions are filled.
At the end, you win the total value of all moons on the screen. Some moons can show the Mini or Major jackpot instead of a cash prize, and filling all 15 positions awards the Mega jackpot. These jackpots are fixed, so they do not grow over time, but they offer a clear target in every Money Respin. For progressive and network jackpots, see our guide to jackpot slots.
Free Spins With Giant Symbols
The free spins round is triggered by scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5. During the free spins, the three middle reels are joined together into one giant reel that shows a single large symbol. When that giant symbol matches the symbols on the outer reels, it can complete wins on many paylines at once. The round can be retriggered by landing more scatters.
RTP, Volatility and Maximum Win
The standard RTP of Wolf Gold is 96.01%, around the industry average. Pragmatic Play offers several RTP versions, so the casino may use a lower setting. Check the game information before you play.
The volatility is medium, which means you can expect a fair mix of small and larger wins. The biggest payouts come from the Money Respin, especially when the Mega jackpot is won, and from giant symbols in the free spins.
Wolf Gold on Mobile
Wolf Gold is built in HTML5 and works smoothly on iPhone, Android phones and tablets. The symbols are large and the Money Respin is easy to follow on a small screen. Read our guide to mobile slots in the UK for more tips.
Playing Wolf Gold in the UK
At UK-licensed casinos, Wolf Gold follows the rules of the UK Gambling Commission. There is no autoplay or turbo spin, every spin lasts at least 2.5 seconds and the maximum stake is £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over (£2 for players aged 18 to 24). The Money Respin and free spins work as in other markets.
Similar Slots
If you like the animal theme and the steady pace of Wolf Gold, Buffalo Blitz offers a similar wild nature setting with more ways to win and higher volatility. Fans of Pragmatic Play’s style will also enjoy Big Bass Bonanza, which uses a different theme but a similar mix of cash symbols and free spins.
Who Is Wolf Gold For?
Wolf Gold suits players who want a balanced slot with a clear bonus structure. The medium volatility keeps sessions fairly steady, and the Money Respin adds a jackpot chance to every spin. Players who want extreme maximum wins or complex features may find it a little too simple.
Tips for Playing Wolf Gold
- Watch the moons: moons that land in the base game show what a Money Respin could be worth.
- Keep a steady stake: medium volatility rewards a consistent stake over a longer session.
- Check the RTP version: Pragmatic Play slots can run at different RTPs at different casinos.
- Try the demo: get to know how often the Money Respin triggers before you play for real money.
- Use free spins offers: Pragmatic Play slots are often included in free spins bonuses. Since January 2026, UK wagering is capped at 10x.
Is Wolf Gold Worth Playing?
Yes. Wolf Gold is a well-balanced slot with an attractive theme, a fair RTP and one of the most enjoyable respin features in online slots. It may not have the biggest maximum win, but the jackpots and giant symbols keep it exciting.
