Crazy Time is the most famous live casino game show in the world. Evolution launched it in 2020, and it quickly became a favourite at UK casinos thanks to its colourful studio, energetic hosts and four different bonus games. At its heart is a giant money wheel with 54 segments. You bet on where the wheel will stop, and before every spin a Top Slot can boost one of the segments with a multiplier. The biggest prize comes from the Crazy Time bonus, with wins of up to 20,000x your bet. In this guide to Crazy Time we explain the rules, the bonus games, the RTP and what to watch out for.

How Crazy Time Works
![]()
Before each round, you choose which segments to bet on. You can bet on the numbers 1, 2, 5 and 10, and on any of the four bonus games. The host then spins the wheel. If the wheel stops on a number you bet on, you win that number times your bet. If it stops on a bonus game you bet on, you take part in that bonus.
The wheel has 54 segments:
| Segment | Number on wheel | Payout |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 21 | 1:1 |
| 2 | 13 | 2:1 |
| 5 | 7 | 5:1 |
| 10 | 4 | 10:1 |
| Coin Flip | 4 | Bonus game |
| Cash Hunt | 2 | Bonus game |
| Pachinko | 2 | Bonus game |
| Crazy Time | 1 | Bonus game |
The Top Slot
Before every spin of the main wheel, a Top Slot with two reels spins above it. One reel shows a betting spot and the other a multiplier. If both reels line up, that betting spot receives the multiplier for this round. If the wheel then stops on that segment, your win or the bonus game is multiplied. The Top Slot adds excitement to every round, because even a simple number bet can suddenly pay much more.
The Four Bonus Games
- Coin Flip: a giant coin with a red and a blue side, each with a random multiplier. The coin is flipped and you win the multiplier on the side that lands face up.
- Cash Hunt: a wall of 108 hidden multipliers. Each player picks a target, and the symbols are revealed to show your prize.
- Pachinko: the host drops a puck down a pachinko wall. Where it lands decides the multiplier. A Double slot doubles all multipliers and the puck is dropped again.
- Crazy Time: the host opens a red door to a virtual bonus wheel. You choose a flapper, the wheel spins, and you win the multiplier your flapper points to. Double and Triple segments increase all values and spin the wheel again. This is where the maximum win of 20,000x comes from.
RTP and House Edge
The RTP of Crazy Time depends on which segment you bet on. Bets on the numbers have an RTP of roughly 95.7% to 96.1%, while the bonus games range from about 94.3% to 95.7%. That is lower than classic table games such as European Roulette or Baccarat. Crazy Time is best seen as entertainment: the experience and the bonus games are the main attraction, not the odds.
Crazy Time Strategy
There is no strategy that beats the house edge in Crazy Time. Popular approaches include betting on all four bonus games, or combining bonus bets with the number 1, which lands most often. Spreading your bets increases your stake per round and does not change the RTP. The best approach is to decide your budget in advance and choose bets you enjoy.
Playing Crazy Time in the UK
At UK-licensed casinos, you must verify your age and identity before you can play. Live game shows usually contribute little or nothing to bonus wagering, so check the terms before using a welcome bonus. Rounds are fast, so it is easy to lose track of your spending. Set a limit before you start.
Crazy Time on Mobile
Crazy Time works on iPhone, Android phones and tablets. The live stream adapts to your connection, and the betting panel is designed for touchscreens. See our guide to mobile gambling in the UK.
Other Live Game Shows
Crazy Time is part of a growing family of live game shows. Evolution also makes Monopoly Live, Deal or No Deal Live and Funky Time, while other providers have created their own versions. If you like the lightning effects of game shows but prefer classic rules, try Lightning Roulette. Read more in our guide to live dealer games.
Why Crazy Time Became a Hit
Crazy Time combined elements that live casino players already loved, such as the money wheel of Dream Catcher and the bonus games of Monopoly Live, and turned them into a bigger show. The studio is bright and colourful, the hosts are energetic and the bonus games feel like a television game show. Players are not just watching a wheel spin; they make choices in Coin Flip, Cash Hunt and Crazy Time, which makes them feel part of the action. This mix of social atmosphere, variety and the chance of a huge multiplier is why Crazy Time is still one of the most played live games in the UK.
Is Crazy Time Fair?
Crazy Time is run by Evolution, one of the largest live casino providers, and the game is tested and approved for UK-licensed casinos. The wheel is physical and spun by a live host, while the Top Slot and the digital bonus games use certified random number generators. The house edge is built into the payouts, not into the wheel.
Tips for Playing Crazy Time
- Treat it as entertainment: the RTP is lower than most table games.
- Set a budget per session: rounds are quick and stakes add up.
- Do not chase the Crazy Time bonus: it appears on only one of 54 segments.
- Watch the Top Slot: it shows which spot has a multiplier before the wheel spins.
